ABOUT US
VISION
Our Christian mission is to evangelize for the sake and cause of Christ. I believe God’s people are an extension of His hands and feet and serve as His mouthpiece. Let there be no doubt in the minds of those who hear what the purpose of this ministry is. The message, “go”, is a direct command to those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We will travel wherever necessary to spread the message of the love of Christ. As pastor of Pilgrim’s Rest Missionary Baptist Church, and the one accountable to the Lord for the direction of this church, my desire and commitment is that our church is one of the seven churches that will have a good report, honoring God with all we have to give him.
We will not only talk the talk, we will walk the walk, taking God’s word to the street, to the community, to the hospitals seeking the sick, the lost, and the unsaved. Our aim and goal are to win souls for the Master. The world is sick and sinful and God’s powerful word can heal for His word goes out and does not come back void.
I know that we cannot properly survive in this life without God’s word or prepare for life eternal without knowledge of its truths. The fruits of this effort will be the “enrichment” of people’s knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ because we took God’s heart to the streets and to the community.
excerpt from the book
A Place Called Hell
A place called hell, where your heart will never fail.
A place where there will be no rest. A place where it’s too late to confess.
A place where no hope can be found. A place where you will forever wear a frown.
A place called hell, where you don’t inhale, is worse than being in jail with no one to post your bail.
You will feel the heat and smell the smoke; always wishing for a stroke, tired of smelling smoke; wishing you had a coke; it’s too late; this is no joke.
It’s a place where all you can do is scream and holler; a place where you’ll never, ever get a drop of water.
A place called hell, a hot and fiery furnace; if only you had only kept it earnest.
A place called hell, you’re there for eternity with no way to brace for the agony.
A place called hell.
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
2 Thessalonians 1:8, 9 KJV
